Be Original - Clap to a Beat!

by Christine Hodge

Clapping to a beat can develop motor skills and coordination for your baby. Play clapping games or clap at different speeds to engage your very young child. For an older child, clap out words and  syllables to help with reading skills. This gives each  syllable sound it’s own beat and helps children learn how sounds are put together to make words and sentences.
