Childtime of Commerce Township follows a Reggio Emilia–inspired philosophy that views children as capable, curious learners who grow through play, exploration, and strong relationships with teachers. Its curriculum is individualized and research-based, supporting development from infancy through school age with hands-on, inquiry-driven activities. The program focuses on building social, emotional, and academic skills to prepare children for long-term school success.

Oakland County families have access to several high-quality, no-cost preschool options designed to support young children and their caregivers.

GSRP, Great Start Readiness Program
  • GSRP is a state funded preschool program in Michigan for eligible four year olds. It helps children build early learning, social, and school readiness skills. The program provides high quality instruction to prepare children for kindergarten.

Head Start:
  • Head Start is a federally funded preschool program for eligible children and families. It supports children’s learning and development while also offering family resources and health services. Head Start focuses on the whole child and works in partnership with families to help children succeed in school and beyond.
