Journey Early Childhood Center promotes the importance of collaborating with families. We recognize that parents are their child's first and most important teachers. Journey is blessed to have served local families for over 60 YEARS! Our full and half day GSRP Classrooms use the HighScope Curriculum to promote child-initiated learning. Learning is supported by Teachers who scaffold play and encourage problem solving. The HighScope approach is designed to foster independence, creativity and critical thinking skills in young children. This developmental approach allows children to look, touch, explore, smell, manipulate, experiment, and sometimes even taste things! What Makes Journey GREAT? AMAZING Staff that will communicate with you and provide a welcoming environment. Small class sizes 1:8 ratio, Chapel time option before school, LOTS of outdoor play & an On site Chef (w/ 20 years of experience). FRESH fruits and vegetables along with homemade dishes for the win! Our Chef sneaks extra protein and veggies into main entrees and collaborates with parents of picky eaters.
